JAMMU, Oct 14: The Veteran Cricket Association J&K XI triumphed in the inter-state veteran cricket T20 championship, defeating Chandigarh Veterans by 2-1 in the series. In the final match, VCAJK Captain Vivek Suri won the toss and opted to bat first, experimenting with the lineup. This led to early struggles as VCAJK lost three wickets for just 22 runs. Suri and Rajeshwar Slathia steadied the innings with a 60-run partnership, but the team managed only 129 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs.
In reply, OCC Chandigarh started strong, with openers adding 39 runs before Ashwani Koul fell for 14. Rahul played a key role, scoring 43 runs, leading the team to victory in 16.5 overs. Ashwani Koul was named Man of the Match.
