UDHAMPUR, Dec 4: District Police Udhampur today arrested one bootlegger and recovered a huge quantity of illicit liquor from him.
Police team of Police Station Udhampur, led by SHO, Raghuvir Singh, intercepted one Mahindra Bolero, bearing registration number JK14J-7808 and on checking of the said vehicle, a huge quantity of illicit liquor (468 bottles of 250 ml each) were recovered from it.
Police arrested the accused (driver), namely Raj Kumar son of Paras Ram of Nagulta, Tehsil Chenani, Udhampur. In this regard, a case FIR No. 483/2024 u/s 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Udhampur.
