RAMBAN, Dec 4: A forest guard died after falling into a deep gorge late last night in Banihal area of Ramban district.
Abdul Gaffar Sohil, 54, son of Mohammad Yousaf Sohil, resident of Wagan Sher Bibi village in Banihal, was on duty when he accidentally slipped from a hilltop and landed into a deep gorge.
The rescue workers found Sohil dead on the spot.
His post-mortem was conducted at Sub-District Hospital Banihal today and the body was handed over to his relatives after completing all the legal formalities.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
