KATRA, Feb 11: Police arrested a drug peddler and seized 120 grams of opium like substance as well as two electronic weighing machines from his possession, here today
Reports said that a police party of PS Katra, during patrolling and frisking duty near Serli Helipad, stopped a vehicle bearing registration number JK02W-8989 and being driven by accused Makhan Lal, son of Chuni Lal, resident of village Katwalt, Ramnagar, (A/P – Chak Bhagtha, Panthal, Katra).
During checking, opium like substance measuring 120 grams, two electronic weighing machines and cash amounting to Rs 64,200 were recovered from his possession.
Police arrested the accused and seized the recovered contraband. In this regard, a case FIR number 39/2025, under section 8/18 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Katra.
