AKHNOOR, Mar 16: MLA Akhnoor, Mohan Lal Bhagat here today inaugurated the newly renovated passenger shed at Akhnoor Bus Stand.
The project, undertaken by the Municipal Committee Akhnoor under District Capex-ULB plan, involved construction of a new shed, renovation of Chabutra, repair of footpath and other allied works.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of Municipal Committee Akhnoor’s Executive Officer, Tahir Hafiz along with former Municipal Committee president, Deepesh Singh, Sanjay Saraf, former Councillor, Rakesh Malhotra, Karn Singh, Neeraj Sharma, Gaurav Singh, Ashok Langer, Ranjit Rohmetra, Ashok Rohmetra, former Sarpanch, Kuldeep Singh, Ravinder Choudhary, Ashok Sharma, Subhash Mehra, Anil Sharma, Sunny Jamwal, Raju, Kala, Jagdish Bhagat, Raj Kumar, Pradeep Choudhary, Anu Gupta, Lal Chand and others.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Mohan Lal Bhagat reaffirmed his commitment to the holistic development of Akhnoor constituency.
He highlighted his continuous efforts to raise local issues in the Assembly, advocating for the protection of Chenab river banks, completion of Mini Secretariat building and reopening of Sub-District Hospital’s old building.
“Voice of Akhnoor will be echoed in J&K Legislative Assembly and I stand committed to fight for your rights and ensure development of our region,” the MLA maintained.
