UDHAMPUR, Apr 18: Jammu and Kashmir Police have attached a property worth Rs 1 crore belonging to a notorious drug peddler in Poonch.
The action was taken under Section 68-F(2) of the NDPS Act, 1985, a police official said.
He said the attached property includes a double-storey building and a residential house built over 7 marlas of land owned by one Mohammad Hafiz of Kunnian, Poonch.
The property was found to be illegally acquired through drug trafficking, during an investigation carried out by SHO Rehambal, Inspector Nishat Ahmed, and incharge PP Tikri, PSI Manveer Singh, said the police official.
He added that Hafiz is currently in judicial custody in connection with FIR number 212/2024 of Police Station Rehambal.
