Trans border terrorists have struck once again like deadly serpents in Pahalgam, Kashmir killing 26 innocent tourists indulging into selective brutal assassination based on their religious faith which is not only horrific and barbaric but intentional planned assault on the honour and prestige of the country which believes and practices co-existence, harmony and peace, fervently pursues the sacred principles of Vasudev Kutumbakam (Entire World is one family) and Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah (One and All be Happy). They have bruised our conscience which is too painful, disturbing and a beastly act which needs to be powerfully countered and paid back in the same coin. It has deeply hurt our psyche and noble principle of morality. Our neighbour is not listening to the voice of sanity and brotherhood but disrespecting and violating the human code of conduct at will. They cannot be allowed to operate beyond the set limits of decency. Enough is Enough, this is high time to get rid of this nonsense once for all by virtue of wiser diplomacy and well crafted military option which is urgent need of the hour for final solution, otherwise any Govt of the times would fail in its civilian and national duty.
It is unfortunate that we are surrounded by irresponsible and unstable neighbours. At this point of time they need to be stopped in their tracks.
Let us examine and analyse the options and Modus operandi for effective handling the poisonous serpents mischievously crossing into our holy territories. They are to be checkmated and nailed with a mighty blow once for all-
Over the years we have been offering Knee Reactions to such heinous acts of our savage neighbour who is not mending its ways and taking undue advantage of our lenient and too soft approach. In the context of National security such reactions do not address and resolve the crisis but substantially lead to major crises in future.
An extremely devastating terrorist strike happened in Pahalgam on 22 April, 2025 , JKUT wherein 26 tourists belonging to different states were brutally eliminated. The attackers wearing military fatigues targeted the tourists including a newly married couple from Karnal, Haryana, indicating a deliberate attempt to instil fear among civilians. A militant Group Kashmir Resistance has claimed responsibility, citing concerns over demographic change on account of settlement of outsiders in the region.
This terrorist strike has caused severe impact on the local tourism Industry with mass cancellations and the exodus of tourists, creating the impression that Kashmir is not a safe tourist destination.
Despite usual denials from the Pakistan side , their role in this planned massacre of innocent people in Pahalgam is confirmed beyond an iota of doubt.
From the body language and visible seriousness of PM Modi, Amit Shah, Home Minister and their prudent handling of this issue, it is observed that Modi Govt might be contemplating on launching the urgently required measures to neutralize the ill effects of this inimical terror strike which need be suitably avenged at the earliest otherwise they will keep on taking us for a ride as per convenience and comfort. This cannot be allowed in the given circumstances when our country is well poised to become the third largest economy of the world. Detractors shall have to be very diligently kept at bay. The merchants of death are to be thrashed and liquidated.
As per India’s Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967(as amended): Section 15 defines a ‘Terrorist Act’ to include any act likely to cause death, injury to persons, loss or destruction or disruption of essential supplies or services; Section 18 extends this to conspiracy, attempt, preparation or abetment of such acts. From this definition of ‘Terrorism’ we observe that whatever happened in Pahalgam that clearly falls within the ambit of this definition. Pakistan has turned into a proven Rogue State, has to be managed as per related parameters. This cannot be just swept under the carpet but calls for a decisive counter action, accordingly the concerned authorities are working out the modalities for the final assault.
While tackling Pakistan from Terrorism point of view we must have a look at our epics ‘ Ramayan and Mahabharat which are not only religious scriptures for us but rich source of war tactics and war strategy. Pakistan’s Terrorism is not bigger and complicated than that of Ravana, how the very powerful demon was vanquished and eliminated, what kind of war strategy was adopted and implemented by Shree Ram. Similarly Mahabharat needs be thoroughly studied and war strategy of Shree Krishana followed in letter and spirit. When we are aware that cross border terrorism is still alive, then why there was no semblance of security around the lovely place where the sponsored Terrorists were hiding to massacre the unarmed tourists. This is a huge lapse that made the things easier for the terrorists. Let us learn from such a killer blunder for future. Notably the poisonous tree of Terrorism cannot be allowed to flourish in our backyard.
The inference drawn is loud and clear we have to be fully geared up to stamp out Terrorism in totality not only from our soil but the main basic source of Terrorism in our neighbourhood shall have to be flushed out with greater precision. It is highly commendable that our Prime Minister, a master strategist has responded very promptly to announce few significant diplomatic measures such as : 1. Suspension of Indus water Treaty 2. Wagha Border check post has been shut 3. Pak Nationals in India to leave within 48 hours 4. Strength of Respective High Commissions reduced to 30 , 5. No Entry for Pakistanis. Of course this is not enough but prompt initial measures. Cabinet Committee on security has met and comprehensively analysed the highly grim and critical situation and might have hammered out some solid measures for the ultimate assault on hide outs of not only active terrorists but their real masters on whose instructions and command , the terrorists are operating on ground and staging such deadly massacres must be tracked and hunted out from their burrows and liquidated. Hope the authorities that be gird up their loins and go for the much needed decisive action.
