PRATAPGARH (UP), Apr 26: Congress MP and Deputy Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha Pramod Tiwari today attacked the Central Government on the attack in Pahalgam Baisaran, Kashmir and demanded resignation from Home Minister Amit Shah.
WHile talking to the reporters, Tiwari questioned whether the Prime Minister would be able to show his 56 inch chest by sacking the Home Minister He condemned the attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, calling it a cowardly attack and said that it is a matter of integrity and universality of our country and the central government should take decisive steps to uproot it.
He said that why was there not a single CRPF jawan in the name of security at the time of the terrorist attack “Bloody games were played with the tourists but why did no one come to save them Where did the intelligence go terribly wrong On all these questions, Home Minister Amit Shah has admitted the mistake in the meeting,” he claimed.
The MP said, “I salute Havildar Ali Sheikh who has given the supreme sacrifice and got martyred while fighting the terrorists in Udhampur, Jammu, far away from there.”
He said that the electricity surcharge in the state has been increased by 1.24 percent which will be implemented in April this year and it will increase the burden on the public and the same government wants to hand over the electricity department to its private friends. “We oppose its privatisation,” he said.
Tiwari said that crude oil has become cheaper in the world market. “Now I demand that the price of petrol should be reduced by about Rs 20 per litre immediately,” he said.
He said that Saumya Sharma and Annapurna Mishra have hoisted the flag of intellectual capability of Pratapgarh by succeeding in the Union Public Service Commission examination. “I extend my hearty congratulations and best wishes to them,” he said.
