KATHUA, Sept 12: Member Legislative Assembly Dr Bharat Bhushan in coordination with the management of Chenab Textile Mills (CTM), distributed relief material among the flood affected families, here today.
The relief material was distributed in the presence of additional District Development Commissioner Kathua, Surinder Sharma, Upinder Patnaik, executive president and Manoj Jha, senior vice president of Chenab Textile Mills, Kathua.
On the occasion, 110 flood affected families drawn from village Khokhyal, Chak Drab Khan, Sherpur, Ward No 6, 7 and 14 of Kathua were provided Ration and essential item kits on the occasion.
It is pertinent to mention here that management of CTM has already provided ration relief material to affected families of Dilwan, Bagra, Parala, Maroli and Jamalpur villages of Kathua along with SAKSHAM organization which works for differently abled persons.
The MLA expressed gratitude to the CTM management for reaching put to the poor flood affected families of Kathua.
Among others who were present during the event included former councilors namely Anirudh Sharma, Vinod Kumar Shinda, Rajinder Gupta of Rajindra foods Kathua, Mandal Pardhan Ravi Andotra, Ramesh Kumar Meshi, Harbans Lal Madgotra, Sanjay Kumar, Deepak Abrol, Sardar Gurcharan Singh Billa, former Panchayti Adalat chairman, Bittu Pardhan, Gurmeet Singh, Shub Karni, Mohan Mehra, Capt Pawan Kumar and Manu Kashyap.
