JAMMU, Sept 14: Aimed to extend vital support to families severely impacted by the recent floods in Jammu region, FICCI FLO Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh (JKL) advanced its humanitarian mission by launching Phase 3 of its flood relief donation drive, here today.
The initiative was launched by Aarti Chowdhary, Chairperson, FICCI FLO JKL, who, along with her team, handed over 150 sets of relief material to Cabinet Minister Satish Sharma for distribution in his constituency.
In addition, 50 relief kits were handed over at Gorkha Nagar to Neha Mahajan, president, BJP Mahila Morcha J&K.
Each relief kit comprised blankets, mattresses, bed sheets and pillows to provide immediate comfort to the affected families.
Speaking on the occasion, Chowdhary said, “As we enter Phase 3 of our relief efforts, our resolve remains stronger than ever. We are committed to ensuring that every affected family receives the support they need to rebuild with dignity.”
Minister Satish Sharma appreciated the efforts of FLO JKL, calling the initiative “a timely and compassionate step” and assured full support for such community welfare causes.
The FLO JKL leadership also confirmed that subsequent phases are already being planned to expand outreach and sustain assistance across the Union Territory of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
Among others who were present during the event included Varuna Anand, Sona Mehta and Shipra Aggarwal.
