ABRSM delegation meets DC Jammu, submits memorandum

JAMMU, Sept 15: A delegation of Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) here today met Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Rakesh Minhas and submitted a memorandum addressed to PM Modi.
The delegation was led by district president ABRSM, Pawan Sharma who said that in line with the nationwide campaign, J&K also handed over the memorandum seeking urgent intervention on the recent judgment of the Supreme Court dated September 1, 2025.
A handout stated that the judgment makes Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) mandatory for all in-service teachers, a decision that has created widespread concern and insecurity among lakhs of teachers regarding their service security and livelihood.
The ABRSM has appealed to the PM to protect the dignity, professional stability and rights of teachers across the nation.
The delegation comprised of Rakesh Sharma, state executive member, Ved Parkash Sharma, district general secretary Jammu, Naresh Singh, senior vice president, Tarsem Lal and Bali Ram, vice presidents.
