JAMMU, Sept 15: BJP national general secretary and Prabhari for J&K BJP, Tarun Chugh, today visited village Barmini, Panchayat Sunjwan, in Jammu, to interact with the flood-affected people and take firsthand account of their grievances.
He was accompanied by J&K BJP president, Sat Sharma (CA), former MLA Ch. Vikram Randhawa, and other senior party leaders. The visit was aimed at ensuring that immediate relief reaches the victims and long-term rehabilitation measures are put in place. The leaders interacted with several families, and reassured them of continued support until normalcy is fully restored.
While addressing the people, Tarun Chugh expressed deep concern over the hardships faced by the families due to the devastating floods. He assured them that the Union Government under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is committed to providing every possible assistance. He said that the BJP stands firmly beside every victim in this hour of crisis. He stressed that no one will be left unattended, and the Centre will extend the best possible help and aid for both relief and rehabilitation. Our priority is to ensure that affected families are provided with proper shelter, essential supplies, and financial support for rebuilding their lives, he stated.
Chugh further emphasized that the Modi Government has always placed the welfare of the common people at the forefront and reiterated that BJP workers and leaders will remain constantly on the ground to assist the flood-hit families.
Meanwhile Tarun Chugh said that the anti-national face of the Aam Aadmi Party in Jammu and Kashmir has been fully unmasked with the arrest of AAP’s lone MLA, Mehraj Malik, under the Public Safety Act.
Chugh said the dossier submitted by the UT Government has clearly established that Malik was engaged in disruptive and unlawful activities that sought to generate anti-national sentiments. He added that Malik, backed by the Abdullah-led National Conference, (NC) represents the dangerous alignment of forces in J&K that have repeatedly compromised India’s security.
