JAMMU, Sept 15: Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET), Jammu conducted its Induction Programme EMBARK 2K25 for the incoming batch of engineering students (2025–26) at the college’s Seminar Hall today.
The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by the welcome address by Dinesh Gupta, Dean Academics. The event was graced by Vidhi S. Singh Jamwal, Chairman YCET, as chief guest; Insha Khalid as special guest; and Renu Bangroo, Managing Director YCET, as guest of honour.
Lovnessh Talwar, HoD Electrical Engineering, presented a comprehensive institutional overview, highlighting YCET’s vision, academic strengths, infrastructure and MoUs with premier institutes like IIT Jammu, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, NEPTEL, CIIIT Jammu, and SMVDU. He emphasized the wide range of academic, research, and industry opportunities available for students.
Renu Bangroo, in her address, urged students to embrace discipline, innovation, and continuous learning, assuring them of YCET’s support and commitment to excellence. Insha Khalid, an alumna of YCET, shared her inspiring journey, encouraging students to take initiative and participate actively in all college activities.
In his keynote, Vidhi S. Singh Jamwal emphasized holistic development, ethical responsibility, and the importance of perseverance and lifelong learning in engineering. Rajneesh Magotra, HoD Civil Engineering, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty, parents and students.
A special session by Vikas Razdan, Cyber Warrior from Cyber Cell Jammu, educated students on cyber threats, safety, and career opportunities in cyber security. The day concluded with an online keynote by Akanksha Saini, National Coordinator, Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay, focusing on digital education and accessible learning tools.
