KUPWARA, Sept 16: In a thrilling first semi-final of the Kilo North Kashmir Premier League 2025, Shaheen Sports Lalpora defeated Lazzat Sopore by six wickets to book their place in the final.
Batting first, Lazzat Sopore posted a competitive 159 runs, thanks to valuable contributions from Fayaz Sarwar, Shabbir Lefty and Nasser. Shehzad Lone starred with the ball for Shaheen Sports, claiming three wickets, while others chipped in with one each.
In response, Shaheen Sports Lalpora were in deep trouble at 48/4, as Yasir Kuligami and Owais Baba bowled fiery opening spells. However, a stunning 114-run partnership between Raja Tanveer (80 off 51) and Shahid Mir (54 off 37) turned the game around, guiding their team to victory with an over to spare.
Raja Tanveer was awarded Man of the Match, presented by RJ Sahil, RJ Xeus and the Radio Chinar team. All eyes now turn to the second semi-final: Narbal XI vs Shartgund Cricket Club.
