CME-cum-brainstorming session organised by MRU, GMC Jammu

JAMMU: A CME-cum-brainstorming session was organized on Wednesday by the Multidisciplinary Research Unit (MRU), GMC Jammu.

The event witnessed the participation of EC and LRC committee members along with a team from the Department of Health Research, ICMR, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The visiting team inspected Key Performance Indicators of MRU and interacted with faculty members and research scholars, who presented their innovative research ideas and shared success stories.
Principal Dean, Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, congratulated the MRU team for initiating several IEC activities and achieving full functionality as per national standards. Prof. Dr. Vishal Tandon emphasized the importance of inculcating research culture right from the UG and PG induction stages. He highlighted that a total of 20 ICMR projects have been sanctioned, with 8 completed and 6 published in high-impact journals.
Nodal Officer, Dr. Jyotsana Suri, stated that a medical institution reaches excellence only when research is promoted alongside patient care and education. The session served as a platform for academic exchange and reinforced the commitment to fostering research-driven medical education.
