District Jammu lifts U-19 Boys Football Trophy

JAMMU, Sept 20: The Inter-District Division Level Under-19 Boys Football Tournament, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, concluded, here today Khel Gaon, Nagrota, with district Jammu clinching the Championship title by defeating District Poonch BY 3-1 in the final match.
In the semi-finals, District Jammu secured a dominant 4-0 victory over District Rajouri, with goals scored by Faizal, Rounak, Antroudhey and Barinder Singh. In the second semi-final, District Poonch defeated District Samba by 2-0, with Daued Bin Rasheek and Damanpreet Singh netting one goal each. In the final showdown, Abhineet Singh scored twice and Faisal Mushtaq added one goal to seal the win for District Jammu, while Mohd Saflan scored the lone goal for District Poonch.
The competition was being conducted by experts of the department Taran Paul Singh, Rohit Gupta, Rakesh Singh,Varinder Singh, Raman Kumar, Naveen Singh, Samunder Singh and other technical officials of the department.
The tournament served as a platform for young talent to shine and will aid in the selection of players for upcoming competitions. The event was successfully conducted by a team of departmental experts and technical officials, ensuring smooth execution and fair play.
