J&K Bank hands over 5000+ sanction letters under Mission YUVA

SRINAGAR, Sept 20: J&K Bank has crossed a major milestone by distributing over 5,000 sanction letters across Jammu and Kashmir under the Government’s flagship Mission YUVA program.
The initiative is aimed at encouraging youth-led entrepreneurship and creating job opportunities across the Union Territory.
To mark the achievement, the Bank organized eight Login Day events during the week in different districts, where 356 sanction letters were handed over to aspiring entrepreneurs in the presence of officials from district administrations and senior bank functionaries.
At Bandipora, Deputy Commissioner Indu Kanwal presided over the event along with J&K Bank General Manager Ashutosh Sareen, while in Samba, Deputy Commissioner Dr Ayushi Sudan chaired the program with General Manager Narjay Gupta.
Similar events were held in Udhampur, Kishtwar, Ganderbal, Pulwama, Srinagar, and Jammu where senior officers of the Bank and administration jointly handed over sanction letters to beneficiaries.
Speaking on the occasion, district officials praised the Bank’s proactive approach and called upon beneficiaries to utilize the support with innovation and dedication, turning their ventures into job-generating enterprises.
The Bank’s senior management reiterated its commitment to ensuring the success of Mission YUVA and encouraged the youth to come forward, avail benefits of the scheme, and translate their ideas into sustainable businesses.
They highlighted that the entire workforce of the Bank is working in mission mode to realize the vision of the program.
Mission YUVA was launched by the J&K Government on June 28 this year as a bold step to empower youth and build a self-reliant economy.
A J&K Bank official said the program aims to create 1.37 lakh enterprises and generate 4.25 lakh jobs in the next five years.
Strengthening this vision, he said, J&K Bank launched its “Yuva Udaan” campaign on July 4 under the leadership of MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee, directing all branches to prioritize Mission YUVA cases for time-bound achievement of targets.
With the distribution of over 5,000 sanction letters in just a few months, he added that the J&K Bank has taken a significant stride in powering the dreams of young entrepreneurs across the Union Territory.
