RAJOURI, Sept 20: The District Administration Rajouri, under the close supervision of Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma, has so far disbursed relief to the tune of Rs 6.19 crore to families affected by damages caused to properties due to the recent heavy rainfall.
To ensure prompt assistance and minimize inconvenience to the public, the Deputy Commissioner constituted dedicated assessment teams for timely verification of claims.
Acting on their reports, relief distribution has been carried out on a war footing basis ensuring that the beneficiaries receive support without the need for repeated visits to Government offices.
All assessment teams worked sincerely under the close supervision of ADCs, ensuring fairness and transparency in the process. The damages were promptly reported by the general public to the district control room, upon which teams were deputed immediately for on-ground assessment, enabling swift disbursal of relief.
The Deputy Commissioner reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to provide speedy and transparent relief to all deserving families. He emphasized that the district administration is working in a people-centric and proactive manner keeping the welfare of the general public at the forefront.
