SAMBA, Sept 24: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, Samba police has seized nine vehicles including two dumpers in the jurisdiction of Police Stations (PS) Samba, Ghagwal and Purmandal which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police said its teams headed by SHO PS Purmandal, in charge Police Post (PP) Rajpura of PS Ghagwal, in charges Police Posts (PP) Rakh Amb Talli, Mansar, Supwal and Goran of PS Samba and in charge Police Post (PP) Utterbheni of PS Purmandal while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized two dumpers bearing Registration Numbers JK08L-2364, JK20A-8799, three tractor trolleys bearing Registration Numbers JK21JH-2595, JK21B-8195, JK21J-2910 and four tractor trolleys without numbers which were being used for illegal transportation/ mining of the construction material in the area.
All the vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action, police said.
