RAJOURI, Sept 25: Two labourers had a miraculous escape when they were rescued alive after getting buried under debris of sudden landslide at a road construction site in Beri Pattan area of Rajouri district.
The incident occurred when work was underway on a road being upgraded by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO). While digging of roadside drains, a portion of loosened soil suddenly caved in, trapping the labourers under a heap of debris.
Fellow workers present at the site immediately launched a rescue operation and managed to pull both men out alive. Upon receiving the information, a police team from Nowshera also reached the spot and shifted the injured labourers to a nearby hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, Police have also registered a case under FIR No. 137/2025 U/S 125, 125(a) BNS at Police Station Nowshera and initiated further investigation.
