KATHUA, Sept 28: Indian Army’s Gurj Division today flagged off a National Integration Tour (NIT) for 25 children hailing from remote villages of Kathua district.
The tour was organised under Operation Sadbhavana and the children will visit various iconic landmarks in Chandigarh and Shimla.
The aim behind organizing the tour was to create awareness amongst the youth from this remote region and promote national integration, education and development in the region.
During their tour, the children will visit iconic landmarks like the Raj Bhawan, War Memorial, Rock Garden, Sukhna Lake, Chadwick Falls, Himalayan Bird Park, thereby gaining valuable insights into the country’s progress and history.
This initiative is part of the Indian Army’s efforts to foster national pride and responsibility among the youth.
The Sadbhavana tour has received an overwhelming response from the local community, with the children eagerly looking forward to this enriching experience.
