SAMBA, Sept 28: Continuing its crackdown against illegal mining, Samba Police has seized five vehicles including three dumpers across the district, which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police said its teams headed by SHO Police Station (PS) Samba, SHO PS Vijaypur and SHO PS Ghagwal while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized three dumpers bearing Registration Numbers JK21F-7667, JK02CG-7986, JK21H-8683 and two tractor trolleys without numbers which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
All the vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action, police said.
The seizure was made under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas.
