CHANDIGARH, Sept 28: Over 150 participants joined a cyclothon organized by Max Hospital, Mohali, to promote heart-healthy living and raise awareness about cardiovascular diseases on the eve of World Heart Day. The event was flagged off from Max Hospital and concluded at Lake Club, Chandigarh.
Present at the occasion were Dr. Rakesh Sharma, Principal Consultant Cardiology; Dr. Prince Kumar, Consultant Cardiology; and Dr. Shailesh Ojha, Senior Consultant Cardiac Anaesthesia. Dr. Pinak Moudgil, Executive Vice President of Max Hospital, Mohali, highlighted that heart disease remains a leading cause of death in India, but is largely preventable through lifestyle changes. He emphasized that the cyclothon aimed to inspire individuals to adopt active lifestyles and take charge of their heart health. The initiative also served as a collective pledge toward building healthier, more informed communities. The event saw enthusiastic participation from all age groups, reinforcing the message of fitness and cardiovascular well-being.
