JAMMU, Sept 30: The Inter-School District Level Gatka Competition for under-17 and under-19 boys concluded at MA Stadium, here today, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), District Jammu.
The competition was conducted by experienced officials of the department including Harvinder Singh, Gurbachan Singh, Davinder Singh, Harvinder Kour and other technical experts who ensured the event ran smoothly and professionally. Students from various schools across the district participated enthusiastically, making the event both competitive and culturally rich.
In the Under-17 Boys’ Fari Stick category, Amardeep Singh from Celestial Mission School secured the first position, followed by Sehajpal Singh from IDNS in second place. Bavneet Singh from WJN School claimed third, while Jagrool Singh from WJN Stepher stood fourth. In the Single Stick category, Arshdeep Singh from APS Kaluchak bagged the first position, with Jaskrit Singh from Guru Gobind Public School in second. Mandeep Singh from IDRS finished third and Jaspreet Singh, also from APS Kaluchak, took fourth place.
