J&K Basketball teams leave for Sub-Junior National C’ship

JAMMU, Oct 1: The Jammu & Kashmir boys and girls Basketball teams today left for Dehradun, Uttarakhand to participate in the 50th Sub-Junior National Basketball Championship, scheduled from October 4 to 10, being organized by the Uttarakhand Basketball Association.
The teams underwent a rigorous two-week training camp at MA Stadium, Jammu, followed by official screening by the J&K Sports Council. Present during the screening were Sachin Dogra (SAI Coach), Saktish Chopra (Retd. Coach), Sushma Jamwal (Chief Coach), Arshi (Manager, J&K Sports Council), Dr. Jagandeep Singh (Physiotherapist), Satpal Singh (DSO Jammu), Ashok Singh Jamwal (Vice President JKBA), Dr. Vikram Handa (President JKBA), Manoj Kumar (BFI Referee) and Rohan Kundal (Coach).
The selected boys’ team includes Danish Malik, Tarun Sharma, Jatin Thakur, Kanav Mehra, Abhinav Kumar, Mohd. Wasiq, Sateendra Nishad, Abhi Praneel, Reyansh Singh, Rudraveer Singh, Ketan Sharma, and Tejasav. The girls’ team features Sukhanshi Saini, Kamakshi Khajuria, Samya Puri, Virangana Gupta, Dhriti Juneja, Adamya Randhawa, Pratiksha Saini, Anviya Gupta, Satuti Gupta, Asmanya Sharma, Sachi Singh, and Aaniya Javeed.
