UDHAMPUR, Oct 2: Police arrested an inter-state drug peddler from Jakheni area and recovered 6.61 grams of heroin from his posession.
Reports said that a Police party of Police Station Udhampur, led by SHO Purab Singh, apprehended the accused, identified as Shamim Hassan, son of Mohd Ali of Gangltak, Diskit, Tehsil & District Leh for checking purposes. During search, 6.61 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession following which he was arrested on the spot.
In this regard, a case FIR number 351/2025, under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur and investigation has been taken up.
