Daughters

Born with a loving and caring heart
They easily learn to forgive and forget at the early start
Immense bonding with their parents they share
Without demanding any certification they offer their love and care
They are taught to live a restrained life
As in future, they are going to be someone’s wife
Responsibilities of two homes is for them,to take care
For which, they are ready for any challenge to dare
They are their perents’ honour and pride
Carrying legacy of good virtues for upcoming generation to guide
No matter she gets parted from her parents by becoming someone’s bride
She remains emotionally connected despite being out of sight
She is so good in adjustments and adaptations
From parental to inlaws home, she remains on the forefront to maintain relations
With heavy hearts, they leave their parental home
To proceed to a entire new world completely strange to them and unknown
Still they leave no stone unturned and unmoved
To establish ties with new family and getting themselves approved

A chapter closes

The echoes of yesterday, ragging me.
A whirlwind of feeling, hard to free.
The walls that sheltered me,
now setting me free.
With every glance, a story’s told
looking into the eyes of mom
one breath I hold.
As I leave behind the hand I used to hold.
I trace the walls, where secrets were told
Breathe in the scent of memories old.
My fingers tremble but I stay composed-
The door creaks shut, chapter closed.

Life’s Quest

Life is here,
Happiness we seek.
Opportunities are here,
Chances we seek.
Love is here,
Loyalty we desire.
Loyalty is here,
Money we require.
Money is here,
Richness we crave.
Sales are here,
Discounts we request.
Food is here,
Taste we yearn.
Poetry is here,
Rhythm we pursue.
Excess is here,
Satisfaction we pursue.
