JAMMU, Oct 4: Vivek Suri, General Secretary and Captain of the Veterans Cricket Association J&K, has been selected to represent the North Zone Veterans Team in the upcoming three-match (45-over) cricket series against New Zealand, scheduled to be played in New Delhi from October 5 to 8, 2025.
A veteran of the game, Suri has earlier represented North Zone in the Inter-Zonal Veterans Cricket Tournaments at Indore (2022) and Bhopal (January 2025). Under his captaincy, Team J&K registered a landmark victory in the Legend Masters Inter-State Veterans Cricket Tournament held in Jammu (2024). He has also led the team with distinction in North Zone tournaments at Haridwar and Faridabad, earning praise for his leadership and consistent batting.
The Veterans Cricket Association J&K extended warm congratulations to Suri and wished him success in the series. Expressing pride in his selection, Vivek Suri said, “It’s always an honour to represent North Zone. Playing against New Zealand is a proud moment. I dedicate this to my team, my association and all supporters of veterans’ cricket in J&K.”
