JAMMU, Oct 5: Jammu Police have arrested another accused in connection with the ongoing investigation of FIR Number 275/2025 under sections 8/21/22/27A of the NDPS Act at Police Station Bahu Fort. The arrest marks yet another breakthrough in efforts to dismantle a drug supply network operating in the Narwal area.
Acting on reliable inputs, a police team from Police Post Narwal, led by its in-charge, apprehended a lady accused involved in the backward link of the case. The arrest has further tightened the noose on the chain of peddlers connected to the network.
Earlier, on September 16, 2025, the prime accused, identified as Pinki, wife of Vikas and resident of Rajiv Nagar, Narwal Boot Polish Mohalla, District Jammu, was arrested by the same team. During her search, police had recovered 19 grams of heroin (chitta) from her possession.
During sustained interrogation, Pinki disclosed that she had procured the contraband from another woman, identified as Shivani, wife of Aman, also a resident of Rajiv Nagar, Narwal Boot Polish Mohalla. Acting swiftly on this lead, a police team, accompanied by the Naib Tehsildar Bahu Fort, conducted a search of Shivani’s residence, which resulted in the recovery of 16 grams of heroin-like substance.
The seized contraband was taken into custody after completing all legal formalities.
