CME on ‘When Patients Walk – Diagnosis Talks’ held

JAMMU, Oct 5: A Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme titled ‘When Patients Walk – Diagnosis Talks’, organised by the Institute of Neurosciences, Medanta – The Medicity, Gurugram was held here.
On this occasion, two stalwarts of neurological sciences, Dr. Sushil Razdan and Dr. S.K Gupta were felicitated with Lifetime Achievement Awards for their exemplary contributions in medicine and patient care.
Dr. Razdan, Senior Consultant Neurologist, Medanta – The Medicity, Gurugram, pioneered neurology services and served for decades in the remote areas of J&K while Dr. S.K Gupta, Ex-Professor and Head, Department of Neurology, Government Medical College, Jammu established the region’s first neurology division and mentored generations of students.
Awards of Honour were also conferred upon Dr. Jyoti Sehgal, Director – Neurosciences, Medanta – The Medicity, Gurugram, who served as the keynote speaker.
Heartfelt tribute was also paid to Late Dr. Anil Sharma, renowned neurosurgeon who passed away in February 2025. A commemorative citation was presented to his wife, Dr. Anjana Kesar, in recognition to his service, compassion and leadership in building neurosurgical care in the region.
The ceremony was graced by the chief guest, Dr. Pawan Malhotra, Principal, ASCOMS Jammu and President, IMA Jammu Chapter along with senior faculty, hospital administrators and others.
“Every patient’s walk tells a story – if only we learn to listen,” the moderator, Dr. Gaurav Vaid observed, encapsulating the theme of the CME.
