UDHAMPUR, Oct 5: With the arrest of accused persons, Police have successfully solved theft case reported from Government Middle School Khudan Neela (Zone Tikri) and recovered the stolen items.
An FIR number 155/2025, under Section 305(a), 331(4) BNS was registered at Police Station Rehambal yesterday on written complaint of the school teacher Sham Lal Sharma regarding theft of electronic items from the school by unknown persons.
During the course of investigation, Police team of Police Station Rehambal, led by SHO Parshotam Kumar, arrested two accused persons namely Siat Mohd alias Sajad Mohd, son of Gulzar Mohd, resident of Sunari, Hartaryan, Udhampur and Asquer Ali son of Manzoor Ahmed, resident of Chal Rakhwal, Udhampur.
On sustained questioning, both the accused confessed their involvement in the theft and disclosed that they had stolen a laptop, speakers, and an extension board from the said school during the midnight of 28th September 2025.
On their disclosure, the stolen electronic items worth approximately Rs 70,000 were recovered by the police team.
