EJAC delegation discusses employees’ issues with DC

POONCH, Oct 6: A delegation of the Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Poonch, in collaboration with prominent social activists and representatives of various NGOs, met the Deputy Commissioner of Poonch, Ashok Sharma to discuss a range of employee-related and social welfare issues concerning the district.
The delegation comprised Jagjeet Singh, senior vice president EJAC; Surjan Singh, noted social activist and former general secretary GDPC; Ifthkhar Ahmed Bazmi, Chairman FBR and social activist; Sanjeev Sharma, general secretary Sanatan Dharam Sabha and social activist; and Dr Sayed Nusrat Shah, District president EJAC Poonch.
During the meeting, the delegation raised several important concerns, including the redressal of employee grievances, welfare measures for Government employees, and issues affecting the social fabric of the district.
Addressing the delegation, Deputy Commissioner emphasized the significance of quality education and the need to develop a scientific outlook among the younger generation. He shared valuable insights aimed at empowering youth through educational reforms, awareness initiatives, and community-driven efforts.
The Deputy Commissioner further underlined the collective responsibility of society in countering all forms of anti-social and anti-national activities, calling for unity and cooperation to maintain peace, harmony, and progress in the district.
In a positive assurance, D C Poonch extended his full support to all Government employees working with honesty, dedication and commitment, reiterating the administration’s resolve to address genuine concerns in a fair and transparent manner.
On behalf of EJAC Poonch, the delegation expressed sincere gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner for his constructive engagement and for acknowledging the issues raised by the employee fraternity.
