KATHUA, Oct 6: In a thought-provoking interaction with media persons during a three-day yagya at the residence of MLA Rajiv Jasrotia, Swami Ram Swarup, a renowned Yogacharya and founder president of Ved Mandir, Yol Camp, shared his insights on the timeless significance of the Vedas and Sanatan Dharma in contemporary society.
Addressing the gathering, Swami Ram Swarup emphasized that the Vedas are eternal and hold the key to creating a harmonious and peaceful world. He stated that the Vedas are not confined to religious discourse but embody a complete philosophy of life encompassing every aspect of human existence. “The Vedas are eternal and hold the key to a harmonious world,” he said.
Elaborating on the essence of Sanatan Dharma, he said it is not merely a religion but a way of life rooted in the principles of the Vedas. “Sanatan Dharma is not just a religion but a way of life that is based on the principles of the Vedas,” he noted, urging people to understand its true meaning to lead purposeful and meaningful lives.

Commenting on the ongoing debate surrounding Sanatan Dharma, Swami Ram Swarup said the right approach to counter criticism is by understanding and practicing the true essence of Vedic philosophy. He also emphasized the need to adopt yoga and Vedic practices to restore balance in society.
On the issue of religion in politics, he opined that politics and religion are interconnected, and that leaders should follow Vedic principles to ensure the welfare of the people.
