Samba police seizes 7 more vehicles for illegal mining

SAMBA, Oct 7: Continuing its drive against illegal mining on consecutive day, Samba police has seized seven vehicles including six dumpers in the jurisdiction of Police Stations (PS) Ghagwal and Samba which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police said its teams headed by SHO PS Ghagwal, in charges police posts of Mansar and Rakh Amb Talli of PS Samba and in charge Police Post Rajpura of PS Ghagwal while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized six dumpers bearing Registration Numbers JK19A-7886, JK02CM-7851, JK21D-9051, JK21K-8445, JK02CT-9321, JK21G-7879 and a tractor trolley bearing Registration Numbers JK21D-3997 which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
All the vehicles have been seized by Samba police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action, police said. The seizure was made under the supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas.
