DODA, Oct 8: A massive landslide here today at Baswal area triggered shooting stones which moved a boulder and it landed on a vehicle at the road leaving one person dead and five others injured.
The ill fated passenger vehicle was bearing registration number JK06C-0825.
After the incident, the injured were immediately shifted to GMC Doda where Roziya Begum, 32, wife of Manzoor Ahmad was declared brought dead.
The injured were identified as Gh Hussain, 31, son of Gh Mohd, resident of Bharat Bagla, Doda; Tamran Hussain, 4, son of Gh Hussan; Kamran Ahmed, 22 month, son of Gh Hussan; Sonia Devi, 23, wife of Rajveer and Zulekha Begum, 23, wife of Gulam Hasan.
Two of the injured were referred to GMC Jammu while the others were stable and were undergoing treatment at GMC Doda till last reports.
Police has taken cognizance of the incident.
