Retired cops raise demands

JAMMU, Oct 8: The monthly meeting of Retirees Police League District Jammu was held here today under the chairmanship of Karanjit Singh, president of the League.
Main issues raised during meeting included providing free medicines to all the retired cops including serving Police personnel in all Government Hospitals as most of the retired cops are suffering from multiple health problems.
The members also demanded release of pending arrears of DA and removal of pay anomalies of officers of the same ranks and special recruitment drive for the wards of cops.
On this occasion three new members including SP Sham Lal Thakur, SP Rakesh Parihar and DSP Nazir Ah Ganai joined the League District Jammu.
Police veterans including SSPs Ch Chirag Din, Kr Ranjit Singh, Suresh Kumar, Savita Parihar, SPs S.R Datta, D.D Sharma, Sham Lal, Thakur Kr Yoginder Singh, Rakesh Parihar, DSPs Nazir Ah Ganai, Mohan Singh, Daljit Singh, Kamal Sharma, J.S Chib, senior vice president, Behari Lal Sharma, Taj Mohd, Dhian Singh, Mohd Sadiq, Satpal, cashier, Satpal Singh, Romesh Sharma, office secretary, Manohar Lal Ratta, Kirpal Singh, organizer, Dhian Singh, Avtar Singh and Ashok Kumar, office in-charge participated in the meeting.
