JAMMU, Oct 10: The 8th Edition of the Jodhamal Youth Conclave (JYC 2025) was inaugurated with great enthusiasm at Jodhamal Public School, Jammu. The three-day Model United Nations-style event brings together over 350 delegates, observers and guests from top schools.
The event was graced by Aakansha Sharma, an alumna of the 2015-16 batch and currently Assistant Registrar at the University of Jammu, as the chief guest. She lauded the school for promoting confidence and leadership. The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a Kathak performance.
Principal Dr. Deep Khare delivered the welcome address and Secretary General Guhika Sachdev declared the conclave open. Puneesh Singh Manhas serves as the Director General, while Ahmed Ayaan, Aarav Handoo, Diya Rakesh Kumar and Adhvik Mahajan were given gavels as Committee Heads.
The conference is being coordinated by CCA Coordinator Pooja Sharma, Conference Director Anjali Mahajan and teacher Raghunandan Singh. The theme for this year is “Fiat lux ex tenebris” (Let light emerge from darkness).
Six committees will deliberate on agendas ranging from digital regulations, AI misuse, gender bias, drug trafficking and press freedom. The event will conclude with a Prize Distribution Ceremony on October 12, 2025.
