Dr Navneet Kaur installed as RC Baahu president

JAMMU, Oct 10: Rotary Club (RC) Jammu Baahu, a constituent of Rotary International, installed Dr. Navneet Kour as its president for the year 2025-26.
Past District Governor Dr. Dushyant Choudhary was chief guest and Installing Officer of Rotary International and he installed Dr. Kour as Club president.
Dr. Kour, an eminent social reformer had represented India at United Nations Geneva and New York.
She presented her vision for serving the society in the years to come and said that she will work extensively with her Club team to eradicate cancer.
She also voiced to start vocational courses for rural women and assist them in setting up their micro businesses.
Adeep Mehta, the Club Director introduced the new members including Dr. Rajiv Gupta, Head of Oncology in JK State Cancer Hospital Jammu, DIG (Retd) Subhash Kumar, who is associated with Khelo India campaign, Touqeer Bagwan, known as Lavender Boy of India, Dr. Itinderpal Singh Bali, a dental surgeon and national trainer with IRCS for Disaster Management, Vivek Suri, an eminent journalist and sportsman who represented India in Veteran Cricket to play against New Zealand, Himanshu Purohit, an Environmentalist , Sr Journalist and founder of NGO Being Indian Patriots, Nidhi Gupta, social worker who is endeavouring to provide affordable meal to the needy and Mehjabeen Nabi, founder Care NGO, vice chairperson GGF and social activist, Wasim.
PDG Dr. Dushyant in his address expressed commitment to provide 300 artificial limbs to the needy.
The Club Director Adeep Mehta coordinated the programme and Dr. Gurneet Singh, secretary of the Club presented vote of thanks.
