JAMMU, Oct 12: As part of initiatives to strengthen industry-academia linkages, Dr Shailendra Chourey, Independent Director at Saraswati Agrochemicals India Pvt Ltd and Professor of Practice at SKUAST Jammu, delivered a lecture to the students of SKUAST-Jammu on “Empowering Students through Industrial Exposure.”
The session, attended by over 100 students from various faculties, highlighted the importance of internships, industrial visits, live projects, and workshops in bridging theoretical knowledge with real-world applications.
Dr Chourey emphasized that hands-on industry experience enhances employability, develops critical skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, and provides mentorship and networking opportunities. He also assured continued support from Saraswati Group through structured programs and collaborative projects.
The lecture, organized by Prof Sanjay Guleria, I/C Counselling & Placement Cell, and coordinated by Dr Vinod Gupta and Dr J S Manhas, fostered active student engagement and reinforced the university’s commitment to preparing students for professional challenges.
