SMVDCoN signs MoU to strengthen academic collaboration

KATRA, Oct 15: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi College of Nursing (SMVDCoN) and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) to enhance academic cooperation and promote interdisciplinary learning.
The MoU was signed by the Registrar SMVDU and the Principal SMVDCoN, in the presence of Prof Pragati Kumar, Vice Chancellor, SMVDU.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Kumar emphasized the need to design and introduce an interdisciplinary course of at least two credits for SMVDU students, to be taught by the faculty from the Nursing College. He further suggested that skill development courses be developed for Nursing students with the involvement of SMVDU faculty.
The MoU seeks to facilitate joint seminars, workshops and guest lectures, promote collaborative research, share physical and academic resources, and strengthen long-term teaching and research linkages between the two institutions. It will also enable capacity building of SMVDCoN faculty through exposure and engagement with SMVDU faculty in teaching and training activities.
The event was attended by all Deans, Associate Deans, Heads of Schools, university officers, and faculty members of SMVDCoN. It was coordinated and organized by the Dean (R&D), Associate Dean (R&D), and the R&D team of SMVDU.
