SAMBA, Oct 16: The Two-Day District Samba Fencing Championship 2025-26 kicked off at Rani Suchet Singh Stadium, organized by the Samba District Fencing Association under Jammu & Kashmir Fencing Association (JKFA).
The event was inaugurated by Keshav Dutt Sharma, Chairman DDC Samba. Also present were Dalvir Mehta, Sports Stadium Manager and former player Rahul Sharma. The technical team included Vivek Sharma, Sahil Sharma and Tarun Singh. Sharma urged participants to uphold sportsmanship, emphasizing fencing’s role in building discipline and teamwork. Competitors from across the district are participating in multiple age groups.
