KPs to join cycling yatra for Guru Teg Bahadur Ji’s 350th Martyrdom

JAMMU, Oct 17: The Cycling Federation of India is organizing a religious cycling yatra from November 15 to 20 to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur ji. The yatra will commence at Gurudwara Sis Ganj in Delhi and conclude at Gurudwara Guru Ka Mahal near Amritsar, aiming to raise awareness about the supreme sacrifice of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji.
At a press conference held at the Constitution Club in New Delhi, the Senior Vice President of the Federation announced the event. Kashmiri Pandits will actively participate in the yatra, which is part of global observances marking this significant anniversary.
Ravinder Pandita, President of All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS), highlighted the community’s deep reverence for Guru Teg Bahadur Ji. He recalled the recent dedication of the Guru Teg Bahadur Gurudwara at LoC Teetwal-rebuilt in 2023 after being destroyed during the 1947 tribal raids. AIKS has called upon its affiliates in Ambala, Ludhiana and Amritsar to welcome the yatra and join the wider celebrations.
