JAMMU, Oct 17: The open selection trials for Men and Women in the 10 Metre Air Rifle shooting category were held at the Mission Olympics Shooting Academy, Jammu. The event aimed to select top shooters from Constituent Colleges of Cluster University of Jammu.
In the Men’s category, Anirudh Sharma (SPMR College of Commerce), Himanshu Gupta (MAM College) and Samarth Tuli (MAM College) secured selection. For Women, Shimani Choudhary and Aneesha Sharma from Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, were chosen.
Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director of Physical Education & Sports, congratulated the athletes and highlighted Aneesha Sharma’s notable achievements in international and national competitions. Aneesha is set to represent the university at the upcoming Khelo India Games in Pune.
The trials were overseen by experts Aman and Vishal Mehra and attended by sports officials from various colleges. The Cluster University’s Department of Physical Education & Sports continues its commitment to nurturing sporting talent.
