Samba District Cycling C’ship held

SAMBA, Oct 19: The Cycling Association of Samba, affiliated with the Cycling Association of Jammu and Kashmir (CAJK) conducted the District Cycling Championship today. The event was led by District President Avinash Choudhary and District Secretary Kuljeet Singh, under the supervision of CAJK General Secretary Om Parkash, former General Secretary SS Gill, and J&K Sports Council Observer Kishav Singh.
The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from young cyclists across multiple age categories, highlighting impressive talent and sportsmanship.
Winners in the Under-14 Boys category were Arman Singh (1st), Daksham (2nd) and Nitish Khalotra (3rd). The Under-16 Boys category saw Aryan Verma winning, followed by two cyclists named Krishna. In the Under-18 Boys category, Saiom Mahajan claimed first place. The Girls Open category winner was Saianshi Mahajan.
The champions will represent Samba District at the upcoming Union Territory Cycling Championship. Organizers encouraged youth to pursue cycling for fitness and sporting excellence.
