SRINAGAR, Oct 23: Apni Party senior vice president Ghulam Hassan Mir today urged the administration to ensure immediate compensation for those who recently lost their houses due to the devastating fire incidents in the Karfali Mohalla area of Habba Kadal and the Narparistan area of Fatah Kadal in Srinagar.
Pertinently, as many as nine residential houses and a godown were reduced to ashes in Karfali Mohalla, while at least six houses were damaged in Fatah Kadal in recent days. These devastating incidents have rendered several families homeless.
In his statement issued here, Ghulam Hassan Mir said, “It is imperative that the Government provide adequate compensation to the fire victims so that they can rebuild their homes before the harsh winter begins. The administration must also provide all possible assistance and relief to the sufferers on an immediate basis.”
“I extend my deepest sympathies with the victim families. Apni Party stands in solidarity with them in these difficult times,” Mir added.
