KATHUA, Oct 24: A Bharat Darshan tour, organized under Civic Action Programme 2025, was flagged off here today by Atul Sharma, Commandant IRP-19th from Battalion Headquarters Kathua in the presence of officers and officials of the unit.
A total of 34 students from various Government schools of District Kathua accompanied by their faculty members under the supervision of Police personnel of the unit shall visit Delhi, Agra, Mathura and Vrindhavan from October 24 to 28, 2025.
The tour aims to acquaint students with the rich cultural heritage, unity and diversity of the nation thereby fostering a spirit of national integration. Tour kits and refreshments were also distributed to the participants on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commandant emphasized that such initiatives under Civic Action Programme strengthen Police-public relations and promote youth engagement and empowerment in nation building. He also encouraged students to utilize this opportunity to improve their academic acumen.
