JAMMU, Oct 25: Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered a major reshuffle in the Public Works (R&B) Department, adjusting several in-charge Executive Engineers (Civil) and assigning them new postings to ensure smooth functioning of departmental works.
This adjustment follows an earlier order issued in July under which 32 Assistant Executive Engineers (Civil) were placed as in-charge Executive Engineers and continued to serve at their present places while awaiting further adjustment.

According to the order issued today by Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Public Works (R&B) Department, Firdous Ahmad Gratta has been posted in PMGSY Division Kupwara. Karanjeet Singh-II has been assigned to Public Works (R&B) Division Gandhi Nagar while Rajan Mengi has been posted in Public Works (R&B) Division Satwari. Nisar Ahmad Sheikh has been posted to Public Works (R&B) Division Awantipora and Syed Izhar Ahmad to DIQC Srinagar.
Rajesh Kumar will serve as Technical Officer to Chief Engineer Public Works (R&B) Zone Chenab. Javid Hafiz Faktoo has been posted in Public Works (R&B) Division Sopore and Basharat Ali has been appointed as Technical Officer to Chief Engineer Public Works (R&B) Zone Pir Panjal. Tilak Raj Rajwal has been placed in PMGSY Division Marwah and Imran Ali will now serve in Public Works (R&B) Division Uri.
Taha Ahmad Basu has been posted in Public Works (R&B) Division Project Division-II Srinagar while Afaq Ahmad Khan has been deployed to the J&K Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA). Showkat Hussain Kawa has been placed at University of Kashmir and Tanveer Ahmad Mattoo in Public Works (R&B) Division Sumbal. Arif Rehman Hazari has been posted to Public Works (R&B) Division Core Srinagar.
Khalid Qureshi has been placed in PMGSY Division Poonch. Mohd Younis Shah has been posted in Public Works (R&B) Division Baramulla and Amit Sharma in Public Works (R&B) Division Chatroo. Adil Mushtaq Rather will serve in DIQC while Sajad Hussain has been posted to Public Works (R&B) Division Beerwah.
Shahnawaz Hussain Jan has been placed in J&K Sports Council. Jyotika Sambyal has been posted in Public Works (R&B) Division Vijaypur. Gurjeet Singh has been assigned to Public Works (R&B) Division Paddar and Wahid Hussain to Police Housing Corporation, Kashmir.
The order states that Karanjeet Singh-II, Rajan Mengi and Sajad Hussain shall join their new postings only after the Model Code of Conduct in district Jammu and district Budgam is lifted, while Tanveer Ahmad Mattoo shall assume duties after proper relieving by the competent authority.
Further, five more in-charge Executive Engineers awaiting adjustment have been placed at the disposal of the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj for posting in the Rural Engineering Wing. They include Fayaz Ahmad Sheikh, Sandeep Singh, Erifa Jan, Syed Ahmad Masoodi and Satbir Singh.
