JAMMU, Oct 25: Former PCC Secretary, Ashok Sharma was today appointed as the working president for Rajouri District, with immediate effect.
His appointment was announced by the president Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Tariq Hameed Karra, in a press statement issued here today.
The post of district president Rajouri was fallen vacant due to the elevation of Shabir Ahmed Khan as Chairman Pahari-ST Department.
“Sharma will perform his duties/ responsibilities as acting president till the party places a district president according to the procedure,” the statement said.
“Similarly, due to the sad demise of Dina Nath Bhagat, the post of Coordinator (Doda) was fallen vacant. The party has appointed former PCC General Secretary Imtiyaz Ahmed Khandey as Coordinator for District Doda, with immediate effect,” the statement added.
