KATHUA, Oct 26: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Kathua district today said they have arrested three alleged drug peddlers and seized about 12.63 grams of heroin-like substance from their possession.

A police official said during patrolling on Bypass Road near the Cremation Ground in Lakhanpur, three individuals identified as Shiv Kumar Anand of Ward number 7, Lakhanpur; Gourav Singh of Tarda Jagatpur, Kathua; and Hitesh Kumar of Tharyal, District Pathankot, were arrested with the consignment.
Accordingly, he said, the contraband was seized and the accused were arrested and booked in case FIR number 129/2025 under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Lakhanpur, with further investigation set into motion.
