JAMMU, Oct 26: AICC secretary and Co-incharge Organization, Neeraj Kundan has urgently called for compensation for paddy farmers in Bishnah constituency whose crops were severely damaged due to recent rains, floods and hail-storms.
During his constituency tour, Kundan personally visited the affected fields to assess the extensive crop damage, particularly to Basmati paddy, a primary source of income for local farmers.
Expressing deep concern, Kundan stated, “The farmers’ hard work has been devastated by this unforeseen natural calamity. Basmati is not just a crop but the backbone of their livelihood.
“This ‘mousami maar’ has left farmers in distress, and immediate relief is essential to support their families,” Kundan said.
He urged the Government to promptly provide financial assistance and relief measures to mitigate the losses faced by the farming community.
